Weir venloop moved to 11 to 15 May 202216 | 12 | 21
Stichting Venloop has decided to move the Weir Venloop 2022 once again, this time from 23 to 27 March 2022 to 11 to 15 May 2022.
The developments in recent weeks regarding the coronavirus mean that Stichting Venloop does not see sufficient prospect of relaxing all the measures still in place.
Director Wim Lensen explains the choice of Stichting Venloop: "As organisation, we indicated earlier that the Venloop can only continue if there are no more restrictive measures. If you look at the marathons in Leiden, Amsterdam and Rotterdam, which were able to take place, you would also want this to happen in Venlo. However, it looks like we will not have rid of all the measures by the end of March and testing for access is not an option for our event, because there is no question of a closed event site. The health of our participants, audience and volunteers always comes first. Something we are all looking forward to. "
The date will now be 11 to 15 May 2022. The Neptunus Walk will then take place on Saturday 14 May and the Weir Venloop run on Sunday 15 May.
